fly fishing program and Fly tying workshops

Fly fishing allows us to completely leave all our troubles on the shore. The Fly-Fishing Program at Operation ReBoot Outdoors will help a beginning angler learn how to cast a fly rod, tie your own flies, read the water to find where the fish are, learn how to wade, tie knots, etc. The best part about the program comes by just gathering with your fellow veterans, active duty, LEO’s, and First Responders. We are set up to assist beginners as well as advanced anglers. Our programs also involve winning some great fly fishing and fly-tying equipment. We have plenty of highly experienced fly anglers and guides that will be right there from the first cast to the first fish – we know what it takes to make the process quick and enjoyable. We have a stocked pond at Camp Byron and plenty of room for overnight travelers. Be sure to get your name and contact information on the roster for this program and we will call you with an availability. This program isn’t only a “classroom” event…we will be holding class on the water at various fishing locations around the Western Maine Mountains. Everything will be provided…bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, and any fishing gear you might already own – we have the rest covered.
