Bear Hunts

Our banner season is Bear Season!  We offer our one-of-a-kind “Bear Cave” lodging accommodations, in bunkhouse styling.  Veterans, LEOs, and Service Members are treated to professionally guided bear hunts over bait, from September through October.  We accommodate up to 8 participants per week, in 3 to 5-day hunts.  Participants traveling from out of state should plan to spend the entire week with the ReBoot team.  Local hunters typically spend three days for the hunt before they have their harvest.

It is difficult to explain the atmosphere of the entire experience.  We have a volunteer local caterer who cooks for and dines with the participants in family-style dining.  The stories told around the dinner table are as rewarding as a successful harvest.  On the evening of success, the ReBoot community comes together in celebration at Base Camp Turner, drawing crowds of two-dozen people at times.  The camaraderie felt during the ReBoot Bear Season is second to none.

Participants are responsible for butchering and transporting their meat home, along with any desired taxidermy, and must have a State of Maine Big Game Hunting License and a Bear Tag.  Operation ReBoot Outdoors offers the professionally guided hunts, food and lodging.
