William clunie

William got his draft card (number 52) for the Vietnam war when he was 18 years old and a few weeks later they called off the draft. He joined the Navy at the age of 26 and served five years as a Hospital Corpsman (8404) with the USMC from 1980 to 1985. The U.S. never had any conflicts during that time and he finished out his five years at Camp Pendleton, California as an instructor at the USMC's NCO Leadership Academy for 1stMARDIV.

William has served veterans and active duty military members as a corpsman and LPN (licensed practical nurse) during his service and in several military hospitals and VA hospitals from 1980 to 1997. Helping his fellow military brothers and sisters has been a lifestyle since he first signed up and continues to be his honor to this day.

William was a Maine Master Guide for nearly 20 years and will now put that experience to work helping Veterans and LEOs with physical and psychological trauma to heal through the outdoor recreational therapy programs provided by Operation ReBoot Outdoors.
